Behind The Art: 

She was born and raised in Minnesota. She graduated from Hamline University with her bachelors in Psychology and later received her Masters in Psychology. She works as an Aging & Disability Services Division Manager in government and paints as a hobby. She is a self taught painter through regular educational classes growing up but grew to have a love for all forms of creative art. She started her journey of self-reflection to get back to things she loved and during a path of finding her true passions - art was found again! She loves sharing her thoughts, emotions, and imagination through her paintings! 

Artist Statement:

"I always want my art to exude originality and creativity so it can allow ones mind to think deeply as it’s viewed. I'm slowly capturing my artistic style but I want my pieces to always be able to be interpreted in a variety of ways. I love to use different textures of paints as well as materials so it highlights varies areas on the painting. All of my work is hand painted with acrylic and/or oil on a canvas and then covered with different crushed glasses either partially or fully. I often use other materials like metal, foil, etc to capture the image even further."
